The short version
- Every order goes through a BalePick hub, where we inspect it before it ships to you.
- Shipping and estimated import duty are shown as separate lines at checkout, in US dollars, before you pay.
- Delivery times are estimates; customs and carriers can add time.
- Customs make the final duty assessment. Anything they charge beyond the estimate is the buyer's to pay, unless we tell you otherwise for your order.
- This summary is for convenience only; our Terms & Conditions are what apply.
1. How an order reaches you
When an order is confirmed, the supplier prepares it and sends it to a BalePick hub within the time we set. A listing shows the supplier's dispatch time where they have set one.
At the hub we inspect the order against its listing — quantity and grade — and record photos and video. The QC report is available on your order. If the order does not pass, we may hold it before it ships; our Refund & Returns Policy explains what happens then.
After inspection, we arrange delivery to the address on your order. We deliver internationally: the shipping for your address is worked out at checkout, before you pay.
2. Shipping costs, import duty and taxes
Every price on BalePick is set and charged in US dollars. At checkout we show the items, the shipping and the estimated import duty as separate lines, and the total you will pay. Nothing is added to the item prices: the price on a product page is the price at checkout.
Shipping is priced for the route from each supplier's country to yours, so an order from two suppliers has two shipping lines. Where a route has no shipping charge, checkout shows it as free. Changing the delivery address at checkout recalculates the totals before you pay.
Import duty shown at checkout is an estimate based on your delivery country and the value of the goods. Customs authorities make the final assessment, and any additional duties, taxes or fees they charge on import are the buyer's responsibility unless we tell you otherwise for your order.
You can choose a display currency to see an approximate conversion while you browse; those conversions are for information only and are not what you are charged.
3. Delivery times
An order's delivery time is made up of the supplier's preparation and dispatch to our hub, inspection at the hub, and transit to you. Delivery times are estimates and can be affected by customs, carriers and events outside our control.
4. Following your delivery
Your order page shows where each shipment is, from the supplier to the hub and on to you. When a shipment leaves our hub with a courier, its tracking reference appears on your order and in your email updates.
5. Your delivery address
Please give a complete and correct delivery address, and be available to receive the shipment. The address is fixed on the order when you place it; if it is wrong, contact us straight away.
6. Damage or a problem on arrival
If a shipment arrives damaged, not as described, with the wrong items or short in quantity, report it through BalePick within 5 days of delivery, with photos or video. If a shipment has not arrived by its estimated time, contact us. Read the Refund & Returns Policy
7. For suppliers
Suppliers send each order to the BalePick hub address printed on its packing slip, within the dispatch time we set. We record the shipment's weight and packages on arrival, then inspect it.
8. Contact us
This policy explains the delivery rules in our Terms & Conditions in plain language. If the two ever differ, the Terms & Conditions apply. Read the Terms & Conditions
