Frequently asked questions

Everything about buying and selling pre-loved clothing in bulk on BalePick — from grades and offers to payment, inspection and payouts.

Buying

Is there a minimum order?

No. On a representative listing you choose how many pieces you want; an exact lot is sold whole, as one unit. You can combine listings from several suppliers in one cart.

What is the difference between an exact lot and a representative listing?

An exact lot is one specific lot — what you see in the photos and video is what you get. A representative listing shows a sample of a larger stock: the pieces you receive match the declared category, brands, size range and grade, but are not the exact pieces pictured.

Is the price on a listing per piece?

Yes. Every price on BalePick is per piece. An exact lot is sold whole, so your cart and checkout show the total for all of its pieces.

What do the grades mean?

Grade A is excellent, with little to no visible wear; B is good, with light wear; C is worn, with visible flaws or repairs needed. Mixed lots are graded A/B, B/C or A/B/C. Each product page has a condition guide, and the grade is checked at our hub when your order is inspected.

How do offers work?

Make an offer from any product page. The supplier can accept, decline or counter. When an offer is accepted, the agreed price is held for you for 48 hours — check out within that time to buy at that price.

Can I ask a supplier to put something together for me?

Yes. A handpick request asks a supplier to select a custom bundle for you — by category, brand, size range, grade and budget. Once you agree the selection, the bundle is reserved for you to buy.

I can't find what I need. What can I do?

Post it on Demand Hub. Describe the items, quantities, grades and an optional target price; we review it (usually within a day), and verified suppliers send you quotes with photos and a walkthrough video of the real stock. Accept the one you like and it becomes a bundle reserved for you for 7 days, bought through the normal checkout.

Payment & delivery

What will I pay, and in which currency?

Everything is charged in US dollars. At checkout you see the items, the shipping for your route and the estimated import duty as separate lines before you pay. Buyers pay no platform fee.

Can I see prices in my own currency?

Yes. Switch the display currency at the top of the page for an approximate conversion while you browse. The amount charged is always the US dollar price.

What happens after I pay?

The supplier confirms your order and sends it to a BalePick hub. We inspect it against the listing, record photos and video in a QC report, and ship it on to you. You can follow each step on your order page.

Is my payment safe?

BalePick holds your payment. The supplier is only paid after your order is delivered and your 5-day window to report a problem has closed with no open report.

What is store credit?

Credit on your BalePick account, for example from a refund. At checkout it is applied to your order unless you untick it, and your account shows the balance and how it was spent.

Problems & refunds

What if something is wrong with my order?

Report it from your order page within 5 days of delivery, with photos or video. The supplier has 3 days to respond; if you cannot agree, BalePick decides based on the listing, the QC report and the evidence from both sides.

How are refunds paid?

Because your payment is held until the report window closes, a refund can be made to your card or as store credit.

Why can't I share my phone number or email in chat?

To keep you protected, phone numbers, email addresses and links are hidden automatically in messages between buyers and suppliers. Deals made outside BalePick are not covered by hub inspection or our refund process.

Selling

How do I become a supplier?

Register a seller account and complete your application with the required documents. Our team reviews it and lets you know the outcome by email and in your account. A seller account is separate from a buyer account.

What does it cost to sell?

Listing is free. When you make a sale, a commission and a platform fee are deducted from your payout. The listing form shows exactly what you will receive per piece before you save, and the current rates are on our Pricing page.

Why is a walkthrough video required?

The video is what lets a buyer judge stock they cannot touch — especially representative listings, where the photos show a sample. Every listing needs one before it can be submitted for review.

Where do I send my orders?

To a BalePick hub. We inspect each order against its listing, record photos and video, and ship it on to the buyer — so you never need to arrange international delivery yourself.

When and how am I paid?

Your payout becomes due after the order is delivered and the buyer's 5-day window to report a problem closes with no open report. Payouts are made in US dollars to the payout details on your account.

Account & help

Can one account both buy and sell?

No. Buyers and suppliers have separate accounts, so a buyer account cannot be turned into a seller account. Register a seller account to list stock.
